From the West
- From Workington take A596 for 20 miles
- Turn left towards 'Kirkbride' for 6 miles
- At the hump back bridge in Kirkbride, take a left for 1 mile
- At the next junction turn right towards 'Glasson' for ¼ mile
- Take the next left towards 'Glasson' for ½ mile
- Turn right towards 'Glasson' and continue for 2 miles
- At the next junction turn left towards 'Port Carlisle', continue for ½ mile and the Park is on your left hand side

From the East
- From Newcastle take the A69
- Continue straight over the next two roundabouts, sign-posted Carlisle for 46 miles
- At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit, 'Carlisle North' onto A689 for 6 miles
- At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit, 'Carlisle' onto B6264 for 2 miles
- At the Hardwick Circus roundabout, take the 4th exit onto A595 for 1 mile
- At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit towards 'Kirkbride' onto B3507
- After ¾ mile take right towards 'Burgh by Sands and Port Carlisle'
- Stay on this road for 9 miles and the Park is on your left hand side
